I
am aware of the responsibilities of working in Delhi
Traffic Police, expectations from the road users and
the sheer dimensions of managing traffic on roads of
Delhi.
We are
at the advanced stage of preparing ourselves for the
forthcoming Commonwealth Games- 2010. I am sure we
will manage the games very professionally and
efficiently.
We have
initiated some basic measures in Traffic Police like
presence of traffic policemen at traffic
intersections at peak hours. I expect better traffic
management through basic measures like these.
Fatal
accident on roads of Delhi is one major concern and
a challenge for Traffic Police. With proper
deployment, study of accident prone areas,
regulating vehicles which cause more fatal accidents
in a better way, we hope to effectively check the
dimensions of fatalities on roads of Delhi.
While
working in Traffic Police, my effort will be to
bring more transparency in working of the Unit. We
will be more responsive to problems of citizens of
Delhi. We want to forge a partnership with citizens
of Delhi to make roads of Delhi easier to travel.
